What Can I Do To Make My Child Grow Taller ? ( My Own Secret Tips )

I am 6 feet tall and my age is 35. Let me tell you my story!

When I was a child my parents and relative used to tell me that I can’t be as much tall as my brother. I was very worried about it. That thing pushed me a lot towards my mission of getting tall.

Height of a child doesn’t always depend on genetics and you can take me as an example. My mom is 5.6″ and my dad is 5.8″. But me and my brother exceeded our parents height.

Note: I forgot to tell you who wins the race of height. Well my hard work finally paid off as my brother is 5.10″ and I have reached 6″ Woo-hoo. I had to go through lots of things for this achievement that I will share with you in this article.

How hanging to the ceiling-mounting pull up bar helped my growth

Hanging and stretching can help you grow taller over time. Both activities help to lengthen your spine and add to your overall height. As I said, I am the example so let me explain: during my grown up time I have gone through so much pain in my shoulder and back as I used to do hanging exercise regularly. Even in my back there are several cracked skin in my back and around my shoulder.

cracked skin in my back

And I believe this is caused because of my hanging exercise and this is why I am 2 inch more tall than by brother. Those cracked spot in my body made me certain that my hanging mission has worked. If you want your child to grow beyond their genetic advantage then hanging exercise can seriously help them grow taller. However, you will not see the results overnight. It may take months or even years of regular stretching and hanging to see any significant increase in height.

How rubbing mustard oil to the Childs body can make them taller?

There is no scientific evidence to support the idea that rubbing oil into the skin can make a person taller. There are many things that can affect height, including genetics, nutrition, and exercise. While oil massage can be beneficial for overall health, there is no evidence that it can specifically impact height.

But, my mother used to tell me that I got taller because of his oil massage in my childhood. And in my country many people believe that rubbing mustard oil gently to the child is beneficial for their growth.

Can you beat your genetics?

Well, the answer is yes, to a point. Here are a few secrets behind beating our genetics. But, it is a fact that if both parents are average height, you aren’t going to turn your child into a 7’ footer .

Several factors contribute to overall height.  Science says that about 70 to 80% of a human’s height is determined by Genetic factors (DNA). DNA is a complex double helix of genetic coding that we cannot unravel.

The remaining 20 to 30% growth depends on certain environmental factors, such as nutrition and exercise. This is where a little help we parents can give to our children’s DNA to help it reach its longest potential.

What should we do to help our child maximize their potential?

Between age 1 and puberty, most people gain about 2 inches in height each year. Once puberty hits, your child may grow at a rate of 4 inches per year. However, It is true that everyone grows at a different pace.

For girls, this growth spurt early in the teenage years. But in case of boys, they may not experience this sudden height increase until the end of their teens. As a parents, here are a few things that we can do to make our child grow taller.

1. Make them eat an egg every day

Young children who eat a whole egg daily may grow taller than kids who don’t. In 2015 there was an interesting study called “The egg a day study” done in Ecuador on children ages 6 to 9 years old.

There were two treatment groups: one group ate one egg per day for six months; the other had no intervention. The group who had an egg a day reported a reduced growth prevalence stunting by 47%. These findings suggested that early introduction of eggs to young children improved their growth.

Eggs contain protein and vitamins that support healthy growth, and they’re also a cheap and easy food to add to your diet. So, if you want to help your child grow taller give an egg a day to your child. You can also consult your doctor if it’s safe for them to eat an egg every day.

2. Eating a nutritious diet

One of the best things you can do for your child’s health – and their height – is to make sure they’re eating a nutritious diet. Protein, calcium, and vitamins D and A are all essential for bone growth. You can find these nutrients in a variety of foods, including meat, dairy, leafy greens, and fortified cereals. Encourage your child to eat a variety of these foods every day to ensure they’re getting all the nutrients they need.

3. Getting regular exercise

In addition to eating a healthy diet, exercise is also important for bone growth. Regular exercise can also help you to grow taller. When you are working out, your muscles need more oxygen and nutrients and this causes your body to produce more human growth hormone.

Weight-bearing exercise, such as running, jumping, or playing tennis, helps to strengthen bones and promote growth. Encourage your child to participate in these activities for at least 30 minutes each day.

Note: In my childhood I used to play a lot especially Cricket. In the morning 3 hours and in the evening 2 hours. That helped me a lot to grow taller but now children are getting more addicted towards internet and gaming phone. They are losing interested in physical game day by day, this is where as a responsible parent you can take necessary action. Because growth is more important.

Lets talk about an experiment of my own. Now a days children’s are growing less than in our time. They are not growing like we and our brothers did. It is all because of that less physical activity that children don’t like to do and even there is no such playground for them like ours.

If you don’t take care of this things genetic may not help your child to grow. Because I have also experienced that now in our society a adult boy or girl even not touching their parents height. They are even short for about 3 or 4 inch from their parents. So lack of exercise and nutrition can also lead them grow smaller than their parents too.

4. Avoiding pressure to grow taller

It’s important to avoid putting too much pressure on your child to grow taller. This can actually lead to stress and anxiety, which can impede their progress. Instead, simply let them know that you support their efforts and want to help them reach their full potential. With a little love and encouragement, they’ll be growing tall in no time!

5. Get enough sleep

When you are sleeping, your pituitary gland in your brain releases a hormone called Somatotropin. This is also known as the growth hormone and it helps your cells to grow and multiply. Most people need around eight hours of sleep per night. Children and teens need even more.

Ensure your child have good night’s sleep every night so that their body can repair itself. During daily activities, your child break down their muscles, and their body needs to become sound or healthy again to get stronger. Make sure they get proper amounts of sleep so the body is able to repair itself and recover their energy levels. Here’s the amount of sleep you need each night:

  • Toddlers ages 2 and younger need 13-22 hours (18 recommended for newborns).
  • Children ages 3-5 need 11-13 hours.
  • Children ages 6-7 need 9-10 hours.
  • Adolecents ages 8-14 need 8-9
  • Teens ages 15-17 need 7.5-8 hours.
  • Adults ages 18 and up need 7-9 hours.

6. Additional things to consider

There are a few other things to keep in mind when it comes to helping your child grow taller. First, puberty is the most important time for growth, so make sure they’re getting plenty of rest during this period. Additionally, try to create a healthy environment at home by reducing stress and providing plenty of opportunities for exercise. Finally, remember that genetics plays a role in height, so don’t be discouraged if your child doesn’t grow as tall as you’d hoped. With a little patience and support, they’ll reach their full potential I hope!

How Smoking stunting the growth of my child

If your child is not adult yet and still growing , you should know that smoking can stunt the growth of your child.

Smoking cigarettes is one of the unhealthiest things a person can do to their body, and this includes children who are still growing. When kids smoke, it impacts their growth in a few different ways.

First, smoking decreases the levels of oxygen in the blood, which can stunt growth. Additionally, nicotine from cigarettes interferes with the absorption of calcium, which is essential for bone growth. Finally, smoking also increases the risk of respiratory infections, which can further impede growth.

If you’re a smoker and have kids, it’s important to quit for their sake. Not only will it improve their health, but it will also help them reach their full height potential.

Methods That Won’t Work To Grow Taller

There are a lot of different methods out there that claim to help people grow taller. Unfortunately, most of these methods are ineffective and can actually do more harm than good.**

Some common “growth” methods that don’t work include:

– taking growth hormone supplements

– using height insoles or shoes

Additionally, there’s no evidence to suggest that certain foods or beverages, such as soy milk or green tea, can promote growth. The best way to encourage growth is to focus on eating a nutritious diet and getting regular exercise.

If you’re looking for ways to help your child grow taller, avoid any method that seems too good to be true. Stick with proven techniques, like eating right and exercising, to ensure their health – and their height!

When to Worry

In most cases, there’s no need to worry about your child’s height. They’ll grow at their own pace and will eventually reach their full potential. However, there are a few instances when you should consult with a doctor.

If your child is shorter than other kids their age, has stopped growing completely, or is experiencing other health problems, such as joint pain or respiratory issues, it’s important to seek medical attention. These could be signs of a more serious condition that requires treatment.

Additionally, if you’re concerned about your child’s height, don’t hesitate to talk to their doctor. They can offer guidance and reassurance, and will help you ensure that your child is healthy and on track to reach their full potential.

How exercises help your kids grow taller?

Exercises that focus on physical movement, helps stretch and elongate the bands of cartilage and tendons around the arms and legs. This creates room that allows better bone growth. Posture correction helps as well. Standing straight and tall helps make room for bone growth resulting in taller children. In addition, daily exercise will help promote growth hormones within the body. Let your kid play in the back yard to get some vitamin D. Go on a nature walk. Chase the dog. Move! Every day.

Try these great exercises to improve your child growth…

Hanging – Did you know astronauts are 3 to 5% taller when they get back from space. Gravity is a constant force in our life and is compressing us every day. Do some hanging. Just ten minutes a day can make a difference. Pull-ups are great exercise but if your kid can’t do a pull-up – just let them hang. If you have a park nearby with a jungle gym – walk over with your kid and have them do some monkey swings. They stretch the body, elongate the spine, and build strength.

Stretching – Don’t like yoga? Try some stretching. Simple stretches that will elongate the spine and neck are the best. You are trying to free up your joints and loosen tendons and ligaments to give all of your bones the room and strength to grow. Anything that helps elongate your body creates room for growth. That’s why people are now-a-days using inversion table to grow tall. Create a daily stretching routine and join in with your kids. It’s fun, cheap, and will help your kids grow tall. You’ll feel energized.

Swimming on the sea

Swimming – Swimming can be the king of sports to make kids taller. Again, it lengthens the spine, lengthens the neck and core muscles, and boosts growth hormones in the body. Most exercise and sports boost growth hormone. Tennis, basketball, and soccer are all great sports and will help increase the production of growth hormone in the body. However, swimming also helps in elongating the body. It stretches and builds strength in one fluid motion.

Yoga exercise

Yoga – Today we are fortunate to have many types of yoga available. We can stream a class in our house. There is yoga that specializes in improving posture. Really, any type of yoga is good for height increase. Pick one you like and do it together with your child.

Exercise to avoid – Heavy weight lifting can impair natural human growth hormone in pre-teens and early teens. Commit to natural exercise to build strength that don’t require gym equipment. Don’t take weight like dumbbell or barbell. Impaired growth hormone secretion can have a significant impact on height.

And one last secret…

The power to have an impact on your child’s height doesn’t last forever. Most children have reached their maximum height by the time they have finished puberty. It’s important to start these steps today. Help your child reach their full height and potential.

That’s it. Eat right. Exercise right. Sleep right. Beat your genetics.
